Blinded by my weaknesses, I grope upon the ground.
It was there I stayed, until your hand I found.
You pulled me up from my wretched curse,
You helped me see the light!
You are my friend and I am yours. We'll roam together:
Side by side, hand in hand, stride for stride.
The world is ours to take and hold. We can do anything untold.

I was lost in a howling wood. There you came and there you stood.
You helped me stand atop a stone, to see the world from a different tone.
The colors are far greater, than they appear, when you gaze upon them,
With eyes open wide.
Now that I have you at my side, I no longer feel the need to hide.
You are my friend, and I am yours. Together we'll travel distant shores:
Hand in hand, stride for stride, side by side.
We'll be the best! We'll triumph every unruly test.

Sitting unaccompanied, kicking at the dirt. Wondering what I could ever be worth.
Far as the eye can see, they all hate me. I am alone.
Until you walked up and made yourself known.
You helped me off of the cold, wet ground. You held me close and said,
"You're safe now."
I anxiously reached for your embrace, hoping beyond hope you'd not glance towards my face.
I was blushing and sobbing when we first met you see.
Now here we are, bound by the hips:
Stride for stride, side by side, hand in hand. Signal the band!
For now my confidence raises sky high! I can do anything with you at my side.
It is for you, I'd graciously abide.
And if that day came, I'd take a bullet in your name.
For I love you, and you love me. We are siblings you see.
